Victoria Roper is a Sports Physical Therapist, Level 3 PT, STOTT Pilates instructor trainer and all round movement geek! She hasa passion for educating fitness professionals, therapists and movement enthusiasts about the body and how to achieve optimal movement.
After leaving university with a degree in Sports Physical therapy, She felt there was something missing from my practice. Victoria was able to manually treat and rehabilitate patients just fine, but once the pain was gone, many of them ceased the movements that made them better. They were not remaining pain free and becoming stronger than they were pre-injury. Secondly they weren’t learning about their body.
During my clinical practice Victoria became a STOTT Pilates Instructor Trainer and travelled internationally training future pilates instructors. This posting gave herthe tools to teach students and clients body awareness, both as a rehabilitation tool and how to move optimally through functional and athletic movements.
Lucy Nifontova is a co-founder of Restore and Reform and a former spinal patient who suffered from lower back pain caused by lumbar disc degeneration for nearly two decades. Five spinal injections and one spinal fusion later, through a comprehensive physiotherapy programme, doing daily exercises and a through love of Reformer Pilates, she has learned to manage her pain and her lifestyle.
Having been through what many of our clients are going through, Lucy understands the struggles that they face and is passionate about helping them learn how to make the changes required for a successful recovery. Lucy is a Reformer Pilates instructor with STOTT and has a special interest in injury rehabilitation. She regularly attends lectures and seminars on the subject of back pain and spinal conditions. Lucy is currently writing a definitive guide to back pain in collaboration with Michelle Lewis and a leading spinal consultant.
